The Socialist Press Organization Nepal is going to celebrate Paush 05 as a black day by uniting all the anti-regression political parties. The organization is going to celebrate the 5th of Paush 2078 BS as a ‘black day’ with the objective of creating public opinion against regression.
For that, the press organization has organized a debate on ‘Danger of Regression, Democracy and Defending the Constitution’ on Monday. Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal, former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, former Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha General Secretary of Nepal Manoj Bhatt is the speaker.
After the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the House of Representatives for the first time on Paush 05 2077, the Supreme Court had restored democracy by restoring the
parliament. Again, Oli had dissolved the parliament on Jestha 07. Despite the Supreme Court reinstating the parliament, the main opposition party CPN-UML has been obstructing the reconstituted parliament.
