A young man has been strangled to death in Janaki Gaonpalika-9 of Kailali district.
The body of 25-year-old Arjun Das was found in the Amaravati Community Forest on Saturday evening, said District Police Office, Kailali DSP Ved Prakash Joshi.
According to him, the body has not been recovered as the family of the youth is in India. “We kept the scene safe at night. We are now preparing to send the body for post-mortem after the family arrives,” said Joshi. “We are conducting further investigations.” Police have also brought a team including trained dogs to the spot for investigation. He belongs to a normal family. Arjun was last seen near his house on Friday evening. According to the source, the body was found tied naked after a murder. A police official said: “It simply came to our notice then. The reason for this will be revealed only after an investigation. ‘
