The CPN (Unified Socialist) has held discussions among top leaders to form a consensus within the party on the US project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). A discussion on MCC was held between party president Madhav Kumar Nepal, leader Jhala Nath Khanal, party ministers and lawmakers at Hotel Basera in Kathmandu on Sunday morning.
According to a leader, there was a discussion on the party’s position in today’s all-party meeting and the need for uniformity in the statements made by the leaders in public. According to him, most of the leaders are of the view that the party's stance on MCC should not be changed during the discussion.
