5 Bangladeshi citizens arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport

Five Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested for smuggling 1 kg 311 gram of gold-like yellow metal,
chainroll, ring and stolen goods from Tribhuvan International Airport.

Among those arrested are 30-year-old Tahidul Tanwar, MD Yunus Ali, 50-year-old Sovan Talukdar,
25-year-old Zahidul Islam and 37-year-old MD Mirajul Islam. Among the arrested, 216 grams of
yellow metal was recovered from Tahidul, 233 grams from Yunus, 100 grams from Sovan, 232 grams
from Jahidul and 430 grams from Mirajul, police said.

The metal was taken under control after it was found while testing a handbag at Tribhuvan
International Airport, which was on their way from Dubai to Bangladesh on Tuesday by a Himalayan
Airlines flight. The International Airport Security Office has today sent Tribhuvan Airport Customs
Office for the necessary research and action.
