UK lawmakers have voted in favor of additional sanctions to combat the Covid-19 epidemic.
In a vote in Parliament on Tuesday, a majority of 369 votes were cast in favor of making the coveted
pass mandatory in England under the new restrictive rule. However, only 126 votes were cast in the
opposition.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party had 99 members in the opposition. But after the
Labor Party sided, a new ban on covid was passed.
According to the new rules that will come into effect from Tuesday, you will have to show your covid
pass when participating in night clubs, big chase competitions or events in England. In other words, in
order to enter any program where 4,000 people stand and participate or 10,000 people sit and
participate, you have to show 'Covid Pass'. The Covid Pass will also apply to indoor events involving
more than 500 people.
According to the BBC, the mandatory wearing of masks in most of the programs held in closed venues
has also been passed by a huge majority. The National Health Service in England has also passed a law
requiring mandatory vaccinations.
In addition, people who have been fully vaccinated against covid but have come in contact with the
infected will be required to undergo regular covid testing by removing the rule of self-isolation.
Johnson was widely opposed within the party, especially for people over the age of 18 who had to be
vaccinated twice and show a negative PCR report within 48 hours before entering the Covid Pass.
But Johnson has been pushing for new rules since the Covid (19) virus began to spread and Omicron
began to spread.
For some time now, the number of covid infections in the UK has been rising rapidly. On Tuesday,
59,610 new infections were added.
New Omicron variants are also being rolled out. With the addition of 633 new infections on Tuesday, the
number of those infected with Omicron has reached 5,346.
