The Pradesh Assembly meeting of Province 2 is sitting today. The first meeting of the eighth session
of the Pradesh Assembly is due to sit at 11 am this morning.
The meeting has a potential agenda for the naming of the province and the proposal for the capital
to be tabled.
According to Ranjit Yadav, secretary of the Pradesh Assembly Secretariat, the meeting contains
information that reads a letter of invitation from the office of the head of state, the naming of the
province and the proposal on capital, and that there is a possible agenda to discuss some ordinances
as well.
With the 14 th Conference of the Nepalese Congress pending, the meeting is also likely to be limited
formalities as members of the Pradesh Assembly of Congress remain in Kathmandu during the
Convention.
