The tenth national general convention of UML is starting from today. The inauguration ceremony of the convention is being held on the bank of Narayani river in Narayangarh and close session is being held at Sauraha. UML, which has already held its Legislative General Convention in Godavari, Lalitpur, will now elect a new party leadership for the next five years from the Chitwan General Convention.
CPN(UML) has stated that the convention will be inaugurated in the afternoon. There will be processions from different places before the inaugurating. The procession will reach the Narayani river bank and turn into an inaugural meeting. UML has claimed that 500,000 people will attend the inauguration ceremony.
Calling for crowd management, the local administration has banned entry of all vehicles expect the essential services from 9 am today on the Narayangarh section of the East-West Highway and inside the main market area of Narayangarh.
