There seems to be some reasons behind Deuba’s desire to visit India now.

He has even completed preparations for this since the establishment of the office. Deuba wants to stop Nidhi from becoming the presidential candidate. He wants to bring Nidhi to his support by putting pressure on him as he has good relations with Indians.
2. Deuba wants to get credit that he has improved relations with India, which the then Prime Minister Oli spoiled. The Nepali Congress does not even want to accept that Nepal’s distance from India had widened since the time of Nepali Congress President and then Prime Minister Shushil Koirala before Oli.
3. India’s support for Deuba, who is on the side of the US, means that American influence will increase to some extent not only in Nepal but also in India. Especially in the case of MCC, if the Indian establishment gives the green signal, it will be easier for Deuba to move forward. At present, India is not entirely on the American side. Due to which, Deuba wants to convey the message that Nepal wants to move forward with the Americans during his visit to India.
