Protest against the MCC agreement will be held on the 22nd

Protests are set to take place in Kathmandu on Asoj 22, saying the government can ratify the MCC agreement under pressure from foreign power centres. The meeting of the movement to repeal the MCC agreement has decided to protest.

In a statement issued at the meeting held at the central office of the Patriotic People’s Democratic Front, Nepal, it was decided that the MCC agreement would not be included in the agenda of the parliament for the time being but the government could approve it at anytime.

“It has been decided to hold a protest rally in front of the parliament building starting from Maitighar Mandala at 12 noon Asoj 22. The meeting also decided to call on all patriotic forces, organizations and individuals to participate in the protest.” A statement is issued by CP Gajurel said.

The statement also said that the Advanced Democracy Party, Independent National Campaign and National Awakening Campaign have decided to join the movement to repeal the MCC agreement
