Many people have gone missing in a landslide caused by heavy rains in Tianquan County in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Sunday morning. Four people were rescued by 10:20 am Sunday. According to Tianquan’s emergency management headquarters, two of those rescued were slightly injured and another was unconscious. Another was found in a stable condition during the rescue operation.
According to the Ya’an City Emergency Management Bureau, which oversee s Tianquan’s administration, the four were inside a makeshift hut at a local construction site. The province has sent more than 100 people from various cities to Tianquan for rescue after receiving reports of a missing person in a landslide on Sunday morning.
