Some time ago in Afghanistan the Taliban allowed the resumption of classes 1 to 6 but still many students and teachers have not returned to school due to safety concerns. In an interview with a CMG reporter, dome local teachers and students expressed hope that the classes would start as soon as possible.
“There aren’t many students in our class, so the class is not going well,” Fasih, a primary school student, told a reporter.
Mathiula, a university student, also called on the Taliban to take appropriate steps to ensure that students continue to have access to higher education.
Atul Majidi, a primary school teacher in Kabul, told reporters: “In the past, there were many students here but now only a few have come to school”.
