In 2018, Sister City was established between Bhimeshwar Municipality and Suining Nagar Janastar with the support of Prem Sagar Poudel, President of Nepal-China Mutual Cooperation Society. After the establishment of Sister City, Mayor of Bhimeshwar Municipality Bharat KC has participated in the Green City Conference of more than 60 countries organized by the Suining Government and officials of the Suining People’s Government have visited Nepal at the invitation of Chairman Poudel.

Suining Nagar is the birthplace of Manjushree. In history, Manjushree has entered the Kathmandu Valley from Dolakha through Suining. At that time, the Kathmandu Valley was flooded. Manjushree had cut down the hill of Nagarjuna and extracted water to establish a settlement. Suining Quanying is also a holy place of Buddha i.e. Padmasambhava. Thus, there is a historical relationship between Nepal and China . There is a ample potential for mutual cooperation in the field of tourism between Nepal and China.
