Works begins to take necessary suggestions for the draft legislation to be presented in the Legislative Assembly

CPN (UML) has started taking necessary suggestions for the draft constitution to be submitted to the Legislative Assembly. According to party spokesperson Pradip Kumar Gyawali, party chairperson KP Sharma Oli has started discussions today to draft a constitution in line with the federal structure of the country.

UML has scheduled the assembly session for the 27th and 28th of Bhadra and has made public the schedule for convening for convention of the municipal committee within the first week of Asoj. Earlier, a meeting of the Central Committee has been convened on Shrawan 24.

Spokesperson Gyawali said that he did not want to comment when asked about the proposal made by Chairman Oli to apologize for some political decisions taken in the past for unity. He also clarified that it is not possible to go by blocking the activities of the party till eternity.

A meeting of central members of Nepal faction held in Kathmandu on Thursday had raised the issue of lack of self-respect, coexistence and collective spirit within the party. Leader Raghuji Pant said that unity should be based on the consensus reached by the Dispute Resolution Task Force on Asar 27 and continuous initiatives among the leaders but the slanderous remarks the top leaders should be stopped.
