Nepal’s faction should not join the government, emphasize on unity

CPN-UML’s Madhav Nepal group has come to the conclusion that it will not join the government. A two-day central committee meeting in Kathmandu decided to stand for party unity, said standing committee member Raghuji Pant. Stating that they have not said in the past that they will join the government, he said that they have no role in the expansion of the cabinet.

The Nepal faction had convened a central committee meeting to decide on issues including participation in the government. The meeting passed a four-point resolution, Pant said. The meeting welcomed the reconstitution of the House of Representatives and concluded that the 10-point agreement prepared for party unity had laid the groundwork for unity. The meeting stressed on party unity and urged not to carry out organizational activities including distribution and renewal of party membership.

During the meeting, Leader Nepal said that UML was in favor of unity no matter how much Chairman KP Sharma Oli insulted him.
