A fire has broken out at the Nebico Biscuit Factory inside Balaju Industrial Area in Kathmandu. Although the fire started at 2 am on Saturday, it has not been brought under control yet. Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Basnet said that fire engines and helicopters were used to control the fire.
As the area is large, efforts are being made to till it from all sides. 46 water tankers, 7 fire engines and helicopters have been deployed to control the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
