The second dose of Verocell vaccine imported from China will be given in Kathmandu from Friday

The government will launch a second round of vaccinations against the corona virus from next Friday. A meeting chaired by Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Roshal Pokharel, has decided to give the second dose of verocell vaccine against corona virus from next Friday.

The first dose of the vaccine, which has in operation since Shrawan 29, is being administered to people over the age of 55, according to the Department of Health Services. The second vaccination campaign will be conducted till Shrawan 24. The first dose is given to everyone who reaches 21 days, the second dose is given.

They have been requested to go to 42 vaccination centers in Kathmandu district to get vaccinated. There are 32 vaccination centers in Kathmandu Metropolitan City and 10 in other municipalities.

The ministry has also requested those who are yet to be vaccinated to register on the ministry’s website www.vaccine.mohp.gov.np. So far, about 97 lakh vaccine have been received in Nepal, while 20 lakh 2 thousand 703 have been fully vaccinated and 42 lakh 54 thousand 540 have been vaccinated for tge first time.
