CPN(UML) leader Anada Prasad Pokharel has proposed to expand the relationship between the Chinese Communist Party (CMC) and his party from the centre to the provincial level. In a virtual meeting organized by the Chinese Communist Party and State Department with young leaders of major political parties in South Asia and Southeast Asia on Thursday, Pokharel, a keynote speaker from Nepal, proposed expanding relations between the two parties from the centre to the bottom, according to Samaj Online.
Pokharel, chairman of the UML Bagmati Province Organizing Committee, said, “The CPC and UML, learned from the experience of Nepal’s communist activities, should work together to strengthen Nepal’s development movement and ideological friendship.”
The CPC held discussions with young leaders from Pakistan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Nepal on youth entrepreneurship and business development during the epidemic. The discussion was attended by 72 young leaders from different levels of UML.
Former Minister Pokharel praised China’s support and assistance to Nepal in fighting the epidemic.
