Ventilator for the first time at Rasuwa Hospital, a remote mountainous district

A ventilator has been made available at Rasuwa Hospital for the first time in the remote Himalayan district of Rasuwa. Health materials were handed over to the Covid Control Management Committee by MP Mohan Acharya on Wednesday.

According to Rasuwa Chief District Officer Ishwari Prasad Dhakal, MP Acharya has received four mini ventilators, five hospital beds, 30 oximeters and 3,000 surgical masks worth Rs.1.6 million. The materials have been handed over to the district hospital in Dhunje and the rural hospital in Jivjive as per the instructions of Acharya, said Dhakal.

The District Coordinating Committee for Covid Control has stated that the materials obtained by Acharya in the complex situation of Covid-19 is in the public interest. Acharya said that he has personally provided ventilators to the two hospitals in the district with the intention of facilitating the treatment of patients with respiratory problems due to lack of oxygen in the body.

Even in the first outbreak of Covid-19, Acharya provided health care to more than 500 needy families who had difficulty coping with morning and evening corona infections, and provided health insurance to more than 500 people working in the corona control front.

Dr. Bhuvan K.C., Superintendent of Rasuwa Hospital, said that the ventilators provided by the outgoing MP Acharya are now easy to treat complex patients at the local level as not a single ventilator can be managed. Health workers said that the problem of referring critically ill patients to Trishuli Hospital in Nuwakot and Kathmandu Hospital due to lack of ventilator in Rasuwa has been solved with the help of the MP. According to the hospital, Acharya has provided mini ventilator and ICU equipment to Trishuli Hospital in Nuwakot to assist in the treatment of Rasuwali.
