President Bhandari to receive Chinese President

Kathmandu, 10 October: President Bidhaya Devi Bhandari will be receiving Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival on Saturday. Also, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be going to the Airport to receive President Xi, reports Baahrakhari Online portal.

Earlier, in such visits of head of the state or the government, one minister used to be assigned as the visit minister and he used to receive the VVIP guests. This time, by giving special priority to the visit, the President and the PM are receiving the Chinese President, according to Press Advisor to the PM, Dr Kundan Aryal.

Earlier, when the then Chinese President Jiang Jemin had paid a state visit to Nepal in 1996, the then King Birendra and the then PM Sher Bahadur Deuba had received the VVIP guest at the Airport, the news portal has reported.
