At least four people died and seven others were seriously injured in separate explosions in Sukedhara and Ghattekulo in the capital on Sunday evening.
According to police, the deceased were the members of the rebellion group led by Netra Bikram Chand who were preparing to detonate the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The condition of three of them is critical.
The outlawed group also carried out blasts in Satdobato, Lagankhel and Chandragiri. Police have also recovered IEDs from two other places in Lalitpur. `
The deadly explosions were carried out a day ahead of the rebellion group’s announcement for a nationwide3 strike today, demanding an investigation into the mysterious death of its cadre last week in Bhojpur.
