Sankata Club and Tribhuvan Army Club are playing against each other in a place for the semi-finals of the Aaha-Rara Gold Cup football tournament today.
The second quarter-final match of the competition being held in Pokhara will see the two teams vying for a place in the last four.
Earlier on Saturday, Three Star Club defeated Paro Football Club of Bhutan 2-0 to enter into the semi-finals of the competition.
The tournament held every year began on January 23. The winner of the competition will receive a trophy prize of Rs.1.2 million in cash, according to said Keshavraj Baral, the chairperson of Sahara Club, which organises the tournament. Similarly, the runner-up team will be awarded a trophy including Rs. 601,000 in cash. The final match will be held on coming February 3.
A total of 12 teams including one team from Bhutan are participating in the competition being held at Pokhara Stadium.
