Kathmandu, Jan 9:
Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai, has directed the Kathmandu University to immediately remove the suspension of a residential doctor Dr Bishad Dahal of Kathmandu Medical College.
Minister issued this directive as the pro-chancellor of Kathmandu University.
Informing that Education, Health and Information Technology Committee under the House of Representatives today about the Minister Rai’s directives, Secretary at the Education Ministry, Suresh Adhikari, said directive was issued to mobilize doctors in health camp only after issuance of criteria determined by KU after lifting the suspension of Dahal.
The KMC had suspended Dr Dahal citing non-participation in the health camp but voices were raised in the Parliamentary Committee saying the action was not in accordance with law.
