Anarchy unacceptable: Minister Sharma

Kathmandu, Dec 29:

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, has said the government is committed to establishing rule of law, so anarchy is unacceptable.

At a programme organized to unveil the decisions of Council of Ministers on Friday, the Minister said it is the responsibility of the government to curb anarchy, for which government is effortful.

Commenting on the Balkumari accident in which the vehicle of Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, was torched and ended up with two casualties, the Minister said, “Whatever happened is regrettable. While everyone has the right to express dissatisfaction over the government peacefully, engaging in violent activities is not warranted,” the Minister said.

Birendra Shah, 22, of Doti and Sujan Rawat, 23, of Dailekh who were injured in a police clash following a demonstration later died during the treatment. Youths demonstrated at Balkumari, citing they were barred from appearing in the EPS examination.
