President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The King of Bahrain started by emphasising that the two countries share friendly relations, and went on to voice his support for the measures taken by the Russian leadership to ensure the rule of law and stability in the country.
The two Leaders discussed several topical matters related to developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Bahrain.
Vladimir Putin congratulated Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain on the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The two Leaders agreed to keep up their contacts.
