Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the country’s journey to good governance has started.
There is a need to fight mismanagement and anomalies, he said while addressing the 19th general meeting of the Press Centre Nepal and the 21st memorial day of Krishna Sen ‘Ichchhuk’ at Shankarapur in Kathmandu today.
“People are feeling the commencement of a new struggle and culture against corruption and anomalies. I have also joined the struggle. I have taken this role amid insults and encirclement. We have both challenges and opportunities,” said PM Dahal.
Stating that there are many issues like the passage of the government’s policies and programmes and citizenship remaining to be concluded, PM Dahal, also chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), urged the Press Centre Nepal to support the leadership as a volunteer.
Recalling his contribution, PM Dahal said Sen with multifaceted personality and honesty has become a source of inspiration in the society.
On the occasion, founding members of the Press Centre, its central members, and injured and conflict-hit journalists were honoured.
