Buddhist Master Zhu Qingyu returned to China

The three-member delegation of Master Zhu Qingyu and his disciples Miss Wang Dongxing and Miss Zhu Haihong, who is propagating Buddhism around the world through art at the invitation of the Nepal-China Mutual Society, returned to China this afternoon after a 16-day long visit to Nepal.


During their visit to Nepal, they met with the General Secretary of the Maoist Center of the Communist Party of Nepal Dev Prasad Gurung, and other leaders, and representatives of various organizations. During the meeting, General Secretary of the CPN Maoist Center Dev Prasad Gurung said that he was happy to be welcomed in Nepal and that he would help as much as possible to increase the relationship between Nepal and China at the people’s level. In response, Buddhist Master Mr. Zhu invited leader Gurung to visit China and thanked him for playing a role as a good friend in the past.

Leader Dev Prasad Gurung, Speaker of Province 6 Nanda Gurung, Basant Thapa of Birendranagar Vipassana Meditation Center, officials of various local organizations, RPP Member of Parliament Santoshi Shahi Thakuri, Deputy Mayor of Birendranagar Municipality Nilkantha Khanal, Basant Thapa of Birendranagar Vipassana Meditation Center, Mayor Prashant Bista of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, Officials of Industry-Business Federation Banke, Officials of Hotel Business Association Banke, and vice president of Nepal-China Mutual Cooperation Society Ghaman Singh Basnet, Secretary Shyam Sundar Adhikari, Treasurer Top Bahadur Thapa, Ishwor Shrestha, Tara Oli, Sarita Kshetri and other officials, Chairman of Pushpalal Study Society Lok Krishna Bhattarai, leftist leader Narayan Sharma and other officials of Pushpalal Study Society, representatives of various organizations, intellectuals, and government officials were met by Buddhist Master Mr. Zhu and his team and discussed matters of mutual interest.


After successfully completing their visit to Nepal, the Chinese delegation returned to China on March 8. Buddhist Master Mr. Zhu had met Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai when he came to Nepal three years ago and talked about bringing Buddhist tourists from China to Nepal. Before the process could be started, no work could be done due to the increase in the infection of Covid-19.
