The exhibited artworks find commonality in their focus on German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s idea that “the work first lets the artist emerge as the master of art. The artist is the origin of the work; the work is the origin of the artist.”
Soft Feelers represents the two-way communication between the artist and the viewer. Artworks are the feelers put out by artists in a process of both inward and outward searching, these feelers are artists’ way of feeling the world and making their feelings known to viewers.
The exhibition is set to end on September 5, 2022.
