Tapeljung, July 23 (RSS):
A woman has been allegedly murdered by her husband. 54-year-old Kanchimaya Limbu of Gaigude in Fungling Municipality-9 was beaten to death by her husband.
According to the district police office, the husband, 56-year-old Bal Bahadur Sanwa Limbu, beat up his wife Kanchimaya during a minor domestic dispute. She died on the spot in the incident that took place on Friday evening.
Preliminary police investigation showed that the Limbu died when she was hit by the wooden handle of a Khurpa, a domestic cutting tool. More details would be known after the autopsy, police said.
Sanwa has been detained by the police and further investigation is underway.
