The World Youth Development Forum was held in Beijing from July 21st to 23rd under the auspices of the All-China Youth Federation.
The theme of the forum was “For a Shared Future: Promoting Sustainable Development with the Youth and for the Youth”.
Government officials from various countries, heads of various organizations, and youth representatives from more than 100 countries exchanged online and offline discussions on various issues such as inclusive and fair quality education, employment and entrepreneurship, digital economy, climate change, and green development at the forum.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in a video message that the forum is a key opportunity for young people to come together and generate ideas to solve today’s most pressing global issues.
The Forum also launched the “International Initiative on Youth Priority Development”, which calls on all parties to strongly advocate the concept of youth priority development and to include youth in national and international development strategies.
