The deadline of the Special Parliamentary Inquiry Committee formed to investigate the outgoing Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma has been extended by one week.
In Thursday’s representative meeting, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota proposed to extend the deadline of the Special Parliamentary Inquiry Committee by seven days. The House accepted that proposal.
Earlier, the committee formed on July 6 was given 10 days. That deadline was expiring today. Sharma has been accused of admitting unauthorized persons during budget preparation. Sharma resigned from the post along with the allegations.
