Government has decided to extend the tenure of the officials for three months

The government has decided to extend the tenure of the officials of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Investigation Commission of Disappeared Persons for three months.

A minister informed that the cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to extend the deadline of both the commissions.

The term of office of the commission was coming to an end in mid-July.

Before that, in the meeting of the ruling coalition held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Friday, it was agreed to amend the laws related to the two commissions and accordingly decide the composition of the commissions and make judicial decisions.

Similarly, the cabinet meeting has also decided to provide the amount adjusted for tax on petroleum products to the Oil Corporation through the Ministry of Industry.
