The Rastra Bank’s Governor, Maha Prasad Adhikari, is claimed to be a member of the CPN-UML’s Finance and Planning Department. The CPN-Maoist Center has demanded an inquiry into this claim. Rekha Sharma, a member of the UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee, stated that the governor could not be a part of any party’s department and that the topic should be examined during a special session of the House of Representatives on Wednesday. In this respect, she stated that a person affiliated with any party should not be selected as the governor in violation of the existing laws, rules, and regulations of the bank. Investigations and penalties against both the appointments and the appointees were demanded by MP Sharma. She said that they were intentionally trying to destroy the economy of the nation.

In a similar manner, Congress MP Min Bishwakarma protested the governor of Nepal Rastra Bank’s public statement discouraging share investors and disappointing the people. He claims that stock market investments should be banned, real estate transactions should be prohibited, and the private sector should also be discouraged.

He is alleging that goods are being brought by reappropriation at the end of the fiscal year and demanded that the House be informed regarding the purchase of those goods.

Similarly, UML MP Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe demanded the immediate withdrawal of the legislation, claiming the government was trying to introduce a law that had been ruled illegal in the Constitutional Council.
