Meeting between UML Chairman Oli and CPC Foreign Department Chief Liu

Liu Jianchao, head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China, who is on a visit to Nepal, has met CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

During the meeting held at Balakot in Bhaktapur on Tuesday, bilateral relations were discussed.

Stating that Nepal is a very close friend of China and a partner in Nepal’s development, Liu Jianchao said that wanted to continue it, said UML leader Dr. Rajan Bhattarai.

UML Chairman Oli had expressed his commitment to the One China policy. Oli also said that there would be no anti-China activity from Nepal, Bhattarai said.

As Nepal will make its policy and decisions independently and China will also make its own policy independently, there were intensive talks to move forward the relationship in the same way as before, said Bhattarai.

Leader Liu arrived in Nepal on Sunday for a four-day visit.
