The Lumbini Province and Rupendehi District Committees of the CPN (Unified Socialist) have been reshuffled.
A meeting of the Lumbini Provincial Committee held in Butwal has elected Som Prasad Pandey as the party’s Lumbini Provincial Chairman.
At a meeting of the provincial committee hosted by party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, it was decided to make Pandey chairman on the proposal of Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary, who is also the state chairman, said central member Siddhicharan Bhattarai.
Similarly, the meeting of the provincial committee has also changed the responsibilities of the Rupandehi district committee. The meeting has selected Aviram BK as the party’s Rupandehi district chairman.
Earlier, Raju Gurung had assumed the responsibility of Chairman. Shri Ram Yadav and Chin Bahadur Gurung have been elected vice-chairmen of the party.
Sarita Shrish has been given the responsibility of secretary. Similarly, Tanka Pokhrel, Mira Shrestha, and Thaneshwor Kharel are the Deputy Secretaries.
The party’s district committee has 205 central members, said Bhattarai.
