Beijing residents can enter all public venues after temperature check and with a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours: health official

Beijing residents can enter all kinds of public venues after a temperature check and showing a negative result of nucleic acid test within 72 hours, emphasized an official from the Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

In response to public concerns over Beijing’s newly released COVID-19 vaccination policy, the official said that “the ninth version of the COVID-19 prevention and control protocols has made it very clear that COVID-19 vaccination must be conducted under informed consent and voluntary participation. Beijing will strictly implement the principle,” the Beijing Daily reported.

The response came after the new regulation released on Monday by the city. It required that starting from July 11, most people need to be vaccinated before entering some public venues, including in-person training institutions, libraries, museums, cinemas, art galleries, cultural centers, sports venues, gyms, performance and entertainment settings and internet cafes.
