At the meeting of the Central Committee of the CPN-Maoist, the central members said that the party should be strengthened rather than alliance in the upcoming election.

At a meeting held in Kathmandu on Monday, members of the party who expressed their views on President Prachanda’s political proposal said that there was no effective coordination in the previous local elections and that the party should be strengthened rather than alliance in the upcoming election.

Stating that the party organization has been weakened due to the emphasis on the alliance, they also said that the party leadership should be serious in this regard.

On the second day of the meeting, 41 members expressed their views on the report of party chairman Prachanda, said Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

He said that the demand to complete the committees from the central office bearers to all the levels including the states was also raised in the meeting.

He said that the party chairman would answer the questions raised in the meeting on Tuesday.

The CPN-Maoist has stated that it is preparing to reconvene the meeting on Tuesday at 11 am and conclude on Tuesday.
