The ‘Communist Party of Nepal Ekta Rastriya Abhiyan’, led by National Assembly member and former Deputy Prime Minister Bamdev Gautam, is being announced.
This new party has been controversial before any formal announcement. Bamdev, who has been included in the 75-member Central Committee, has also included his wife, son, and personal secretary. The new party is said to be dominated by ‘familyism’, which has been controversial.
Bamdev Gautam, who is also the coordinator, is number one on the list of central members made public by the party. His wife Tulsi Thapa, who is also a member of the House of Representatives, is ranked second.
Similarly, Bamdev Gautam’s son Harishdev Gautam has also become a central member. His name is number five on the list. Similarly, coordinator Gautam’s PA Dipkumar Tomata has been ranked sixth on the list of central members.
