Kathmandu, June 23
An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale rattled Pokhara and surrounding areas in the wee hours today, according to the National Seismological Center.
The quake took place at 3:56 am with its epicenter at Dhampus of Machhapuchhre Rural
Municipality-7 in the Kaski district.
Shockwaves from the quake were felt across Baglung, Parbat, Myagdi, and Tanahun districts, according to local residents. However, no details of losses caused by the quake have been reported so far.
