Indian Army Chief to visit Nepal in August

Kathmandu, June 22

Indian Army Chief Manoj Pandey is scheduled to visit Nepal in August.

Indian media reported that the 29th Army Chief of India will be conferred with the honorary
title of Nepali Army by Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari during the visit.

“Information has been received that Pandey will arrive in August. The date and schedule of his visit are being worked out. The visit will focus on honoring the Indian Army Chief with the honorary title of the Nepali Army. This tradition has been going on for a long time between Nepal and India,” the source told the news agency.

Only on Monday, Nepal’s Ambassador to India Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma had a discussion with the Indian Army Chief. He tweeted about it on Monday.
