Kathmandu, June 22
A complaint has been filed at the Election Commission against the name of Rabbi Lamichhane-led political party.
Journalist Lamichhane on Tuesday announced the formation of a new political party named
‘Rashtriya Swatantra Party’.
The word ‘Swatantra’ from the party’s name has to be removed, according to those who filed the complaint.
According to Shaligram Sharma Poudel, a spokesperson for the poll body, a group has handed the complaint to Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya. He added, “The poll body will investigate and make a conclusion.”
