Kathmandu, June 19
Pfizer vaccine doses for children aged five to eleven years have arrived in Nepal in a total of 2.2 million doses. In the first phase, the US government delivered 2.2 million vaccine doses to Nepal via the Covax facility on Sunday.
From June 23, children in 27 districts will be vaccinated in the first round. The US Embassy in Nepal stated that it was working with Nepal to end the Covid-19 pandemic when the vaccine arrived.
According to the embassy, “With the help of the American people, we are pleased to announce that 2.2 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccination for children have arrived in Nepal today. We’re collaborating with Nepal to put a stop to the Covid-19 outbreak.”
