Kathmandu, June 19
The State Partnership Program (SPP) agreement would be scrapped, according to CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Addressing a Youth Association Nepal program on Saturday, Nepal said the government should scrap SPP since it has created disputes in the country.
On Saturday, the former prime minister met with CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa
Kamal Dahal and leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha, as well as Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP)
Chairperson Upendra Yadav, to discuss the matter, and he was clear that the SPP would be
rejected.
Nepal also stated that he would talk with the Prime Minister to discuss the issue.
Although they were assured from the statements of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chief of Army Staff Prabhu Ram Sharma regarding their dissenting views on SPP, confusion was added due to a recently released letter, according to leader Nepal.
