Kathmandu, June 16
In all seven states, the government plans to perform kidney transplants and heart surgeries.
In response to a question on the ministry’s budget allocation, Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada stated that agreements have been reached with some hospitals in some states and that others are being completed.
Pokhara and Surkhet have signed an agreement with the Martyrs’ National Transplant Center.
Minister Khatiwada stated, ”We will immediately begin service in these two locations.”
Minister Khatiwada further stated that the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences has begun heart surgery in collaboration with the Martyr Ganga Lal National Heart Center.
