The Prime Minister and the finance minister will respond in Parliament today

Kathmandu, June 16

The House of Representatives is still in session today. A likely agenda item from the government side for today’s meeting at 1 p.m. is a response to the budget.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma will brief the
Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, the President’s Office, the Vice President’s Office, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Finance.

It was not possible to respond during Wednesday’s meeting, despite the fact that the ministries and agencies were prepared to do so. After answering the questions presented during the talks on various topics under several ministries, the budget will be approved.

The budget includes a schedule for several ministries to submit decision-making
recommendations on a variety of subjects. According to the Parliamentary Secretariat, 23
legislators have proposed expenditure reduction.

Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma will recommend that Appropriation Bill 2079 be passed
today after he responds to the question.
