Gandaki unveils budget of Rs 35.90 billion

Kathmandu, June 16

The Gandaki Province has announced a budget of Rs 35.90 billion for the fiscal year 2022/23, with a focus on agriculture, tourism, and health.

Ramji Prasad Baral, the Finance Minister of Gandaki Province, announced the upcoming fiscal year in the provincial assembly on Wednesday. The earmarked total amount is around Rs 6.40 billion more than the amount for the current fiscal year that will end in mid-July.

The provincial government has allocated Rs 22.14 billion (61.66 percent) for capital expenditure and Rs 13.26 billion (36.95 percent) for recurrent expenditure from the total budget.

The capital and recurrent expenditures were Rs 16.73 billion and Rs 13.06 billion, respectively, last year.
