Kathmandu, June 14
In a House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, refused to listen to the Finance Minister’s response.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and other ministers are scheduled to respond to the
discussion on the budget in the House of Representatives today.
However, the CPN-UML lawmakers stated they would not listen to the Finance Minister’s reply until he clarifies that he changed the revenue rates in the budget by admitting people from outside the Ministry of Finance.
Former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey, speaking on behalf of the CPN-UML, claimed the
budget issue was as confidential as national security as soon as the House of Representatives meeting started.
