Now the stock market will open 6 days a week, only 2 and a half hours on Friday!

From next week, the stock market will be open for six days. The government has changed its earlier decision to cancel the public holiday on Sunday, and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) would remain open till Friday, including Sunday.

According to Nepse, the market will be open for only two and a half hours on Friday, the last trading day of the week. According to Nepse, the market will open at 11 a.m. on Friday and end at 1:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, other bars will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Since May 15, Nepse has been opening the market for five days from Monday to Friday by
changing the business day schedule in accordance with the government’s declaration of two days of public holiday on Saturday and Sunday. However, less than a month after the holiday was implemented, the government changed its decision, forcing Nepse to change the timing. On Saturdays only, beginning July 15, there will be a public holiday.
