Monsoon active in four provinces of Nepal

The monsoon system has entered four provinces in the country this year. The monsoon system has entered Province 1, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

In a few days, the monsoon system is expected to reach the rest of the country. This year's monsoon entered Nepal’s eastern part ahead of schedule. In Nepal, the monsoon season usually begins around June 13.

The monsoon enters the country from the east and gradually extends to the west. The four-month period from June to September is called the monsoon period in the South Asia region.

According to the weather forecast for today, the weather will be generally clear in the hilly
areas of the country in the afternoon including Province 1, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in
Province 1, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki, and light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly areas of other provinces.
