Helicopter to rescue injured in Jajarkot accident

Kathmandu, June 10

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has ordered that the seriously injured in a jeep accident at Junichande Gaonpalika-5 in Jajarkot be rescued by a helicopter and that medical treatment be arranged for them.

He told Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pande, Chief Joint Secretary of the Ministry’s Peace, Security, and Crime Control Division Phanindra Mani Pokhrel, and Chief District Officer of Jajarkot Ram Bahadur Shahi to make plans for the injured’s rescue and treatment. Following the direction of Home Minister Khand, Prajia Shahi of Jajarkot informed that a helicopter was sent for rescue in collaboration with the Nepal Army’s Surkhet office.

When a jeep (Ka 02-001 Cha 0341) traveling from Surkhet to Jajarkot crashed, two people were killed and five others were seriously injured. According to Prajia Shahi, the other four had minor injuries.
