Lawmakers draw the government’s attention to garbage and fertilizer management

Kathmandu, June 9

Members of the House of Representatives (HoR) have drawn the government’s attention to the fact that farmers are suffering due to a scarcity of fertilizers in the country.

At Thursday’s House of Representatives meeting, MP Hridayesh Tripathi accused the
government of ignoring the country’s chemical fertilizer shortage. He said that if the current situation continues, paddy production will decrease this year.

Similarly, MP Krishna Bahadur Rai drew the attention of the government to manage waste in the Kathmandu Valley.

Ganesh Singh Thagunna, another MP, said that a single woman was set on fire in Darchula on Wednesday and demanded that the culprits are arrested and action be taken against them.
